ME TIME ZONE
Absence of ME TIME is one of the biggest challenges in motherhood. That is why we are offering a ME TIME Zone on Wednesdays and Fridays together with a creche to give you peace of mind and the mental space to fully recharge so you can really be the best version of yourself.
You can choose to either attend one of the activities listed below or just relax at the centre. For instance some mothers may choose to use the creche service to have time to read a book, have a chat with other mothers or just meditate quietly in the centre.
Your ME TIME is yours to decide!
If you wish to use the Playhood Creche service we recommend you purchase and book your creche spot online first as the creche has a capacity of 20 children per session. You do not have to use the creche service to enjoy the ME TIME Zone at the centre.
ME TIME ACTIVITIES
Martial Arts and Self Defence are an energetic and enjoyable way to boost your confidence and control your emotions and actions.
Co-founder of Efficiency Jiu Jitsu, your instructor Robert has developed "The Female Self Defence" program exclusively designed for females as well as the "Bullying Stops Here" children's program.
In his class, you will learn how to defend yourself and your family against an attacker in different situations and environments. The focus of the program is to understand the level of risk and how to respond confidently to a threat to maximise your chances of escaping safely and if necessary how to physically protect yourself and others.
Suitable for females of all ages and fitness levels, it is a great work out with simple but effective techniques all taught in a safe, welcoming environment and it is also fun!
The Pilates method of conditioning balances the mind, body and spirit. Utilising breath and movement the body is strengthened from the inside out, focusing first and foremost on the spine - the backbone of the body.
Bron, an ex-dancer, discovered Pilates 20 years ago to treat a recurring shoulder injury. She immediately fell in love with the method and has continued to enjoy the benefits through pregnancies, recoveries and beyond.
In her class, Bron will share her love of movement with you! You will move, twist, bend and roll your way to a healthier, stronger you.
MUMS & BUBS PILATES
Our Mums & Bubs Pilates classes with Bron will introduce you to simple and effective movements designed to strengthen your whole body, with an emphasis on core strength, pelvic stability and spine mobility.
Your baby will form an integral part of the class, offering an opportunity for play and connection while you learn the ideal movements to perform whether baby is content or unsettled.
Developing a new normal for yourself and your health is vital at this time when your energy and attention is constantly drawn elsewhere. Knowing what exercises are good for you in this post birth period can also be confusing.
We want you to feel empowered and confident in your new exercise regime, knowing how to maintain your strength and find time for meaningful movement, even in the mayhem.

During the class you can stop at any time to feed, change or comfort your baby, returning to the class when you feel comfortable.
No Pilates experience necessary.
Mums will need medical clearance from your GP or Obstetrician (normally obtained at the 6-week check-up) to join group classes.
Pre-crawling bubs from 6 weeks of age are welcome in the class. Crawling bubs from 7 months+ and pre-schoolers are welcome in
the Playhood Creche.

During your time with us, life coach, certified NLP practitioner, author and more importantly mother of three, Kerstin Martins will guide you with activities such as dream boarding, journaling and open chat forums with guest speakers to help on topics you might be struggling with.
The Mothers Circle is a nurturing and non-judmental place for YOU (and mothers like YOU) where you can be just YOU.

Zumba is a fun, positive, energetic way to improve your fitness whilst dancing to exotic rhythms.
With 15 years experience in Ballet, Modern Jazz and Hip Hop, Emma your Zumba Instructor, discovered Zumba in 2012, totally fell in love with it and never looked back. Her passion now is to spread the Zumba love in Adelaide and help her students express themselves through dancing and feel good about themselves.
Her class is a party (no judgements, big smiles) and her work out is easy to follow. You don't really need to know how to dance to enjoy Zumba. All you need to do is to move your body and follow Emma's lead. She will take you to your 'happy' place.
'TIME IN' YOGA
'TIME IN' is a way of entering into the quiet that is already there, buried under 60,000-85,000 thoughts that the average person thinks each day.
Yoga has been an integral part of Suzanne's life for the last 20 years and Suzanne has a calm and nurturing approach to Yoga offering a safe and relaxing space for all.
In her 'TIME IN' class, catered for all fitness levels, you will learn to develop a beneficial Yoga practice that sets a foundation to grow a love of Yoga and a rewarding transformational outcome. You won’t be doing head stands, instead you will be laying down and learning how to breathe and release habits of “holding within the body”, generating calm and stability.
