Villagehood Learning Circle
Be part of an amazing community of mums
The motherhood journey can be challenging, both for first time mums and women who have had babies before, but the friendship and community support provided by other mums can turn it into a shared experience.
The benefits of sharing knowledge and personal experience
New mums can sometimes lack confidence and need advice from other mothers in the community. Why are the emotions I feel not what I was expecting? Why is my child doing this? Why does motherhood feel so hard?
The answers to these and other questions are not always easy for modern mums to find. Information may be available, but it can be difficult to discover, overwhelming, or feel disconnected from real life experience.
At Villagehood Australia, we believe that knowledge for mothers should be accessible, practical and provide reassurance based on real life.
What is the Learning Circle?
The Learning Circle is Villagehood Australia's space for mothers seeking connection to meet, share knowledge, tools and their insights in order to support mums and their families during the early years and beyond.
It brings together women's pregnancy and parenting experiences, insights from likeminded mothers about child development, and tools to counter loneliness and promote wellbeing.
The aim of the Villagehood Australia's Learning Circle is to help mums feel more confident, connected to a village of other mothers, and less alone.

Beyond the early years
While Villagehood Australia programs largely focus on the early years, the Learning Circle extends beyond this.
We also explore topics relevant to pre-teens and teenagers, how friendship and family dynamics can change with motherhood, and how to foster the ongoing emotional wellbeing of parents and children.
Learning through shared experience
At Villagehood Australia, parenting knowledge is a shared experience that we discover more about together. Insights that we share in the Learning Circle are shaped by meet ups and chats with local mums in our community, sharing motherhood experiences, and understanding what works in real life.
Connecting knowledge and support
The Learning Circle is just one part of the support program Villagehood Australia provides for mums and their children. While some families begin with learning, for others it begins with making connections. Information on its own is not sufficient to support motherhood; connection, shared experiences and community support are required to create lasting change.

A growing resource for new mothers
The range of supports we provide for our amazing community of mothers in the Learning Circle will continue to grow as we expand our work.
As our programs develop, we will create for our village a series of articles, guides, videos and practical tools featuring insights by experts and inspired by the life stories of other mums and families.
Our work is always shaped by our community and what they tell us they need to meet the challenges of motherhood with greater confidence.
